BEWARE-Be cautious and alert to the dangers of
BE AWARE-Having knowledge or perception of a situation or fact
It’s important to know the difference between both and how they both affect you in your everyday life.
We go about our day as routinely as the previous day. Wash, rinse, repeat. Right? The cycle we all get caught up in. We are so distracted by the ins and outs of everyday life, that we eventually let our guard down and forget that we must continually be aware and beware when it comes to our mental state.
I have spoken many times about the voices that we allow to speak into our lives. I am a true believer in surrounding yourself with those who will see the best in you and uplift you and want to see you succeed in life. It’s imperative that you fill your mind with positivity and give those same vibes to those around you.
We also have to be aware of those who are out to only steal your joy, manipulate you to get what they can out of you, control you, and leave you wasted. We must always be aware of what is going on around us and who we are allowing to speak into our hearts and minds. Especially, where we choose to let our guard down.
Always beware and be aware of what is going on around you. Being aware and beware go hand in hand. This does not mean that you are afraid to go out and meet people but it does mean to be cautious of people’s motives. You have your mind and heart to protect.
Having to deal with a mental disorder can make this a little tricky for some. As many of us tend to be very trusting from the beginning. We allow negativity in our lives because we are afraid of losing someone or even because we do not want to be alone. We have been through so much trauma, that you find yourself latching on to someone to not deal with that trauma alone.
The truth is, there are situations in life that you are going to have to cross over alone. Only then will you know what you are capable of and how much you can handle on your own. It is crazy how in these times, when you are all alone, sometimes you find complete peace and you see how valuable you truly are.
Being alone is not about feeling lonely. It is about taking the time to examine yourself and beginning to see your strength. We are very resilient and will be amazed at what you are capable of when your back is up against a wall.
Our minds and hearts are to be guarded. They are easily damaged and tainted. Our mind should be guarded as if it is the ultimate treasure to be had. Because indeed it is. Your piece of mind determines your attitude, emotions, behavior, and even physical state. It is the one place you must beware of and be aware of at all times.
I have learned that having BPD gave me a new perspective on life and how to approach certain situations. More importantly, I have learned the importance of guarding your mind against everything around you. Your mind is a precious jewel from which your innermost thoughts and ideas come. Wouldnt you want to surround yourself with those who see your mind as fragile and to be cared for with love? Those who also see the treasure that lies within?
I always say that every new morning is a brand new chance to get it right. Perfection isn’t found in being flawless. True perfection is found in how you allow this life to mold you to become a better you. It’s all about progression. Never going backward. Everything in this life is given and up for the taking. It’s about how much you want it. Are you being aware and at the same time beware of those trying too hard to get into your mind? If not, maybe now would be a good time to start.
